Alpro deadlocks are the narrow style design used primarily within the commercial aluminium door sector and the design of the lock allows a bolt to be thrown into a lock keep. The bolt cannot then be operated without the use of the authorised key.
However in the case of the deadlatch, the lock is designed to be used with various exit trim, such as a paddle handle. When the handle is operated the latchbolt will retract thereby allowing the door to be opened. However the “deadlatching" facility means that when the door is closed, nothing can be inserted into the gap between the door and frame to force the latch bolt and thereby allow unauthorised entry.
Both types of locks come in a variety of backsets and cylinder configurations, along with a selection of faceplates available in a variety of surface finishes.
Alpro’s cylinder range compliments the Alpro lock range and is available in a number of finishes, along with various key options to enable the customer to choose the required system that best suits the application in question.
